That's a heavy old lump for a Minor unless you are doing away with the torsion bars?
Will need a bulkhead modification too or will handle like c*#p if you mount it too far forward if the one's fitted with BMC B-series lumps are anything to go by.
I drive a 62 Minor as my daily and the A series 1275 and Ford 5 speed are more than enough fun for daily use!
