I don't fancy swapping torsion bars for a heavier engine, part of the Minors lovely handling is it's well positioned, light engine. Looks like i'll knock the Volvo idea on the head.
I have been offered a 1200 Datsun A series engine and box, which I may go for... The Datsun engine is an imporved "clone" of the Austin engine although no parts are interchangeable. They are are built with closer tolerances and better castings e.t.c. Either way, I don't fancy using the original 948cc engine as a daily driver on dual carriageways e.t.c
