The Datsun 1200 is the popular choice in Australia with most of their Minors now running with them. The availability of the engines over here is the limiting factor now, but if you have been offered one then great!
I started a Datsun conversion in a Minor Pick up many years ago and had loads of clearance issues before I realised the 1500 unit I was using was a longer block than the 1200 I should have chosen!
