I'm now getting a P2110 code, so sounds like its throttle related.

The odd thing is I'd expect to see the MAF on the outlet of the air filter box, but can't seem to see one on mine

there is a procedure without Vida to force the ecu to relearn throttle position idle quickly. it involves disconnecting battery and a very specific procedure after reconnecting.. There was a video on youtube for a different car with duratec engine. try google search
