The TPMS is very reliable generally with the 10's of thousands of volvos out there on the road , you may have a problem with your particular car .. you need to make a log of the failures and what you set the pressures to and when , and calibrate it before you set off on your first journey ... ... then when the display shows the error , which tyres are showing a fault and what the pressures are then , that could well be a clue to what is happening .
