Why didn’t you use the mechanical key to open the door?
You dont need a battery in the key to start it, you simply place it in the key reader near the cup holder and the car reads the passive chip.
To be honest I’d forgotten about the mechanical key coz the app idea came first. Didn’t know about the key reader in the cup holder tho!! Gonna leave a spare battery in the car from now on.
Still think the car should warn coz some people might not know about mechanical key or use the app in which case they’d be stuck
