It is a nice looking car Steve; Roderick has done very well.
I was always very fond of my the three series cars, having owned a 1.7 saloon and a 2.0 5-door. I always thought it was a shame that Volvo didn't produce a conventional auto, making only the 1.4 CVT. We road tested one in period but felt the 1.4 was a little underpowered.
However, they were popular with elderly, low-mileage drivers and tended to be well looked after. I think that this accounts in part for the relatively high incidence of survivors. A good one today will make Roderick a very nice hobby car.
Regards, John.
