A larger picture might make life easier and also reveals a wood screq holding the rear trim on!

Now all we need are photos of the 940 trim to see if it is fittable but the worrying bit is the door will likely have an extra hole (and potentially rust) where there shouldn't be!

Looking at the door skin (or gusset as Volvo appear to call it in the USA), the same skins were fitted from 740 to V90 :

As such, the lower rubbing strips will fit regardless of exact model/year as long as it's the same body (saloons appear different to estates, why i don't know) but obviously to do the job properly, either the exact replacement for damaged trims will need to be found or replace all of them so all must be good replacements.
