Hi Chris, taking aside these are drl's Ive never heard of anyone who has fitted extra lighting to their car being deemed responsible for causing an accident.

I agree led drl's can be very bright and if used at night would be blinding hence the reason for the auto off we have been discussing.

Having been in a near fatal accident, and due to the quantity of driving I do and the lazy poor quality of driving i see daily I axtually take being seen very seriously (its not just the bling factor). I would rather be seen and possibly be insulted for having the led's than not be seen if you know what I mean.

People having been bolting extra lights to the front of there cars for as long as i can remember (escort mark1 for example).

I will though to put this point into fact contact my insurance and ask. I get your point though, and would personnaly never do a modification that would dedm my insurance void nor should anyone else.

On this subject of insurance, I also just had fitted non volvo running boards, as these bolt through the existing jacking points could these also be deemed to void my insurance or anybody elses.

I think though this is a seperate topic regarding mods and insurance.

Regards Bill
