and dont bother to use that "garage" again, cowboys,
you dont "disable" Variable Valve timing on an engine and have no problems, thats Pure 100% bulldust from them.
go find a volvo indi and get the VVT checked Properly, and replace it if needed.
if you dont, or you "disable" it,, your MPG will go down like the titanic, the engine wont be anywhere near as powerful, (so you will hoof it More to get the speed and use even more fuel) and When it finally goes "POP",, well it controls the Valve timing,, valves say hello to pistons,, wallet > intensive care for a Huge rebuild bill,,,,
