If the suction technique does not work you should be OK to drive as long as level is not over the max; the reason I believe Volvo have set the recommended level at 2/3 is to allow for the sump to take unburned fuel in the even to of a regeneration failing and dumping it; I have had my 2013 200BHP for nearly 2 years now and the oil level has remained the same between services which makes me think for a short while you are fine.
