Default RE: Modifications to my V70 T5...

There is a trade-off to be made between allowing sufficient headroom, and providing sufficient resolution for tuning. I'm no expert in the area, but I was speaking to a friend who most definitely is, and he downgraded his injectors to give himself better resolution at low rpms - ultimately to decrease spool time - but also to provide better off-boost drivability.

Huge injectors are all well and good (and for goodness sake make sure your injectors are big *enough*!), but it can get to the point where the car is horrific to drive off-boost.

In some circumstances, maybe that's a price worth paying. At Santa Pod (before modifications) I pulled away from a ~500bhp MR2 to the 60ft until it (eventually) hit (a lot of) boost, and went on to finish the quarter 5 seconds before me!

cheers

James
