I have a 2013 R-Design and my initial intrepidation for the harder suspension and low profile tyres was soon dispersed as ride on majority of roads is sublime and the handling is impressive for a large SUV; I love the R-Design design cues especially the blue dials - so much nicer to look at instead of a dull black!
The twin rear exhausts are a little OTT and prevent having the spare wheel - if the exhaust ever rots out on mine I may replace with standard pipes. FYI - I have spotted an earlier R-Design with standard exhaust so if you are going for slightly older you may get the best of both worlds.
As Swiss says, there are lots variations between the models hence my surprise at seeing an R-Design with the standard exhaust set up.
