Thanks Brimfull, I'll do some more investigating today. I had a fault on the car a few weeks ago that may well be unrelated where if I accelerated harder up to 2500 RPM it would feel like I'd hit a brick wall and the car would die. It would restart and drive fine again but if you done the same again it would die. Accelerating smoothly wouldn't produce any issues at all. I'm hedging my bets on it being the turbo but fingers crossed it's not.
