thanks for the info gazdok. i'll look into that and see if it helps but i guess i'd better start saving, lol!

thanks clan for your reply. i know i have a prob as there is a steep bank near me that i tried the awd out on. i used to be able to drive up it. if i stopped and tried to do a hill start while leaning out of the window i could see the rear wheel searching for traction.
one particular time i was going up nicely then all of a sudden started sliding backwards as i lost drive to the rear even though the front wheels were still turning!
