The Lambda pump runs for approx. 2-3 mins on cold start, increasing the oxygen through the system and balancing the fuel system to optimum efficiency. It is slightly smaller than a cola can and can be found just by the fuse box in the engine bay on the passenger side. You might not hear it from the drivers seat, unless it is noisy and about to fail, like mine.....
