The decision on whether to do this myself or pay the garage has been taken from me. The auxilliary belt snapped this weekend and I'm not in a position to repair it myself this week.
So i took it volvo this morning and I'll be crying in a beer later when I have to pay the bill
The upside of course is that it's done now and with genuine parts.
I would say to anyone who is using the guide of ten years or 108k miles before changing belts is replace the auxilliary belt earlier, the one that snapped on mine looked very cracked.
