I always use the Volvo Service Price Indicator as a starting point when I contact
Volvo dealers about a service quote. Majority of the time I can bring it down to below what the service price indicator says (they reduce the labour rates). If you have several Volvo dealerships near you, you will find that they will gladly try and match or beat a quote from their competitor.
For me the Volvo Service Promise (including the European breakdown cover) is important, so that's why I don't do independents.
