Default Very easy

By chance I just changed these bushings last week. It didn't bother me, but my son just got his drivers licence and he was complaining about the gear stick play. It is even simplier done than explained on paper.
You need an Allen key to undo the grubscrew (which fits in the recessed part of shaft 14). Shaft 14 is very easily pushed out. The selector rod falls down a little bit and you can replace the bushings.
It will take you no more than five minutes and it takes out the sideway play of the gear stick.
Just to show how durable our Volvo's are: my son was only two weeks old when I put him and his maxicosi in the rear seat of my 940 I just got. 18 years and 280K miles later he is now at the steering wheel of this same 940...
