Talking v70 xc70 + 90 trans code 002f

i also have had issues with my transmission control module communications and have suffered the dreaded torque converter lockup fail accompanied by fault code 002f, spoke to volvo and may as well have talked to the wall.
however, whilst at a local garage having tyres fitted i was chatting to a guy who turned out to be a specialist volvo uk tech, mentioned my problems to him and he advised me what the underlying problem is. so.
[now ive got your attention,,,
there is a section of wiring harness from tcm which runs accross the front of the engine block, due to its location it suffers heat damage, inside this part of loom there is a joint in several earth wires where they bridge together,
because of the repeated heating and cooling the solder on these joints becomes brittle and breaks, here lies your problem,
in this situation identify the broken joints and remove all solder, bare 10mm of wire and rejoin with a mini block connector, then light a candle and drip wax into and metal or exposed wire at each end of the connector and also onto the screws, then wrap in insulating tape once cooled ensuring theres plenty on and pop back into sleave and securing bracket.
now i have thought about other quicker ways of doing this but due to the nature of this harness and its location this really is the only obviously long term fix.
you could use crimps but they will soon become soft and dissconnect,
could solder it but again this will become brittle and drop off,
a thumbs up would be fantastic if this post helps you!!!!!!!!!!
