Today I fitted our S80's Bronze/150k HMC badge and sticker (even though it's 50k past that already!) and as a reward for being such a comfy dependable car I also replaced the clutch position sensor with one from a scrapyard V70 since the ceramic substrate was cracked on the original. Not before stripping/cleaning/rubbing an HB pencil over the tracks to reinstate some of the carbon. Also fitted about 4.7K in parallel with it as it was still a little high tripping a fault with the pedal fully up. Lower end seemed fine about 540 Ohms so should be ok for a while now, need to check if we have cruise again now, I've missed that! £3 quid from the scrappy and a bit of fettling certainly beats £40odd for a new one...
