The oil temperate sensor is in the front of the sump just below the oil dipstick tube. If it is of any use my ,97 2litre non turbo 360,000 mls always showed the oil temperature as cold on the dash display, even on the hottest summer day. This was the case from when I bought the car at 50,000mls until it was scrapped.
