Well done. You were fortunate that the driveshaft came out easily - it can seize in the hub and make the job very difficult.
Have you fitted the adjustable expanders in the parking brake? You can adjust the shoes to give best performance for the parking brake. They also make it easier to get the disc off because you can back-off the shoes.
