You don't say what car but, assume you mean the lambda engine management light.

The ecu will have have triggered it when 'things went wrong'.

Suggest you disconnect the battery negative terminal (or I think people say fuse No.1) which I find easiest to re-set the system. Hopefully, it will not come back on. If it does read the codes depending on what system you have.
