Yes, I had the Sachs fitted today (an excellent non specialist I use between main dealer services). You were right, of course, about the incorrect rubber bearings, but they found all the ancillaries in good shape (it's only done 73k), so just fitted the dampers. Haven't had a chance to try it for any distance yet, but it used to thump over dropped kerbs and now it's like driving over a pillow.
