Many thanks, but I am aware of the ridiculous situation regarding the RFL. It wouldn't be so bad if they actually spent the money improving the roads.

It's not simply a case of trying to avoid paying for a months RFL - it's more a case of not being allowed to purchase it. I no longer have a UK address, therefore I cannot obtain UK car insurance............ergo I can't obtain a RFL

The plan is to get the car out of the UK on the day of purchase. The car will of course be insured, but it won't be via a uk insurance company.

The RFL situation is an absolute farce, and yet another example of the uk government (of all political persuasions) taking the absolute "P" out of the motorist, and using them as a cash cow.
