That's what I said. Its a common thing to happen for mot for testing regardless of vehicle and not unique to volvo or d5.
The tax band on your car has everything to do with the emissions. Heres a quote directly from the government website.
(The rate of vehicle tax is based on fuel type and CO2 emissions.)
