The meths won't effect the emissions except in a positive way if you have condensation in the tank - the condensation will cause poor combustion and misfires resulting in an excessive HC figure, using the meths to emulsify with the condensation so it can burn off will improve the combustion and reduce the HC figure.
That beige 340 is in incredibly good condition!
