As said, Vida works on this model.

You’ve seen the thread of mine and some issues I encountered that I didn’t expect, I was unable to scan the car I bought.

You haven’t said which engine is in the one you’re looking at. The D5 engine was changed from the euro 4 unit in late 2009 to the 205bhp euro 5 unit for the 2010 model year, mine is a 2009 registration but a 2010 model with the newer engine.
If it’s a euro 4, check swirl flaps, there’s loads on this in the forums.
Don’t know much about the other engines.

Usual checks with everything else, if auto does it change smoothly? Then budget for refreshing the oil anyway. If manual, clutch condition (best you can) and rattles from the flywheel.

Check the electronic options are working as expected.

Timing/aux belts, same issues as P2, note the on the P3 D5, there are 2 aux belts, a small one drives the air on compressor and doesn’t have a tensioner in its run, the main aux belt suffers tensioner issues, Volvo have reduced the service interval of this to around 54,000 miles.

Hope it’s a good one, I love mine even though it’s thirstier than the old euro 3 P2 engine.
