Thread resurrection!
I've got a b230 fk engine from a 1997 Volvo 940 transplanted into a Volvo 240. Having some trouble getting it to run properly so think it's time to build a code reader. I'll follow the instructions earlier in the thread and build a DIY code reader - but how do you use it? And can it be used to reset the codes as well?
as an added complication, the wiring loom isn't transplanted from the 940, so I don't have a pre wired obd port. I'm following the wiring diagrams here:

And on page 14 there's the obd connector with four connections, one from the ezk, one from the ecu, one live and one ground - not too hard to replicate. Do I need anything else?
