I did consider that before I did mine but decided that it was not possible. Unfortunately I cannot remember precisely why but I think that it was because the panel headlining prevented it. I suppose that you could try removing the old seal in such a way that reverses the proposed method of fitting the new seal to find out whether it is feasible. Then if it doesn’t work do it by removing the panel as previously described.
