Hey,
If it is not in limp mode ( will pick up rpm, but slowly). Try checking vaccum hoses. Had this when one got ruined by small oil leak and popped off.
If power sometimes goes back as you written it could be faulty vaccum regulator valves. From what I have read they fail sometimes and have to be replaced.
