My modem started acting weird after the latest android VoC update.

I get a VoC service required message and the modem is no longer working. yet if I connect the car to WiFi tethering from my phone it works fine.

Also on the application the car is stuck as if it is in use and there is no connection between the application and the car.

Booked for a service next Wednesday but I am thinking of resetting the car by unplugging the battery prior to going to the garage.
