Not sure why you think that is ridiculous tbh.

My house is currently kitted out with warm white LED bulbs... I had to wait many years before they were available on the shelves of tesco, however blue LED have been available for years and years, because they are cheaper to make.

Re Xenon, here is a colour temp comparison chart.

Most OEM xenons are 4300k in colour, a slightly yellow hue. Whereas OEM LED systems are generally 6000k, which imho is far too blue.

The second 4300k LED bulbs are on the shelves, with a cheap enough price, I will be all over them.
