Is it the same car you have advertised for sale, 1998 2.5 10v auto? If so, what did you want to scan, or think is faulty, as a fair bit of the 10-valve engine stuff are not fully OBD compliant, and need flash codes read (been there, done that on a previous V70 of mine), I made one up, it's a little plastic box with an LED, switch and OBD lead made up and soldered together I still have it somewhere lying around if you're interested for a few quid, I know that the abs stuff could be read though with a scanner, I used an icarsoft Volvo one. Have a forum search for flash codes for further info
