You can use pretty any knob from automatic transmissions from 2001 on, used one shouldn't be expensive. The problem pulling the knob out is the rod is not lubed and doesn't want to slide out. You may be pulling on it and it certainly feels like it will never come out, no matter what. My tip is to pull on it several times, not just a continuous pull.
