Default Potential new ex BMW V90 T6/D5 owner

Hi all
Volvo newbie here. As a background I have had many cars and most recently a bmw 340i touring which I have just sold whilst it still had some decent equity in it.

Whilst looking for a new car I saw some very good lease deals on the v90 D5 r designs and t6 cross country.

Now coming from a 326bhp petrol estate I was drawn to the t6 but obviously we looking at a bigger car with higher suspension and not that much torque comparatively (my 340 had a tuning box for 390bhp and 400lb torque).

Obviously not a like for like comparison at all between the bmw and v90 but to get a new bmw with similar spec and performance you are looking t a alot more money monthly.

Anyway, as I do not many miles a month mpg is not an issue and driving I do is mainly non motorway so I'm wondering if I went with the D5 its going to get unhappy with lots of short trips (DPF etc)? Also reading the reviews seems the T6 needs to be wound up fairly high to realise any performance benefit over the D5, can anyone shed some light on this?

Lastly I prefer the look of the non cross country but could live with either.

Any pointers would be useful.

Many thanks all
