I will look into this rubber “gaiter” part, but f I understand correctly, the pad should go OVER that metal piece at the end. Correct?
Mi dash is not recovered, it is hard plastic, What Lennart Johansson from VP Autoparts called a dash cap.
In any event I will get a new one from VP which makes them “in original tooling. It is thermoformed foil and then filled with foam just like original. Original pad reaches in under the small caps to cover edge”
