Actually, the final salary pension scheme is based on the lowest salary in that pay scale, so if the pay scale goes from £18k to £27k, the FSP is based on £18k. so yeah big money! oh and the average Civil Servant is on circa £24k (they've always been paid less because they get certain perks like a FSP).
My wife's monthly pension is £440 that's the FSP from a £25k pa Civil Service pension...……….
