A quick look on Autotrader shows 8. A look in Howmanyleft.co.uk has 32 in 2014 and 69 in 2015 V60s there are no S60s listed so must be able to count those on your fingers.
Given they were offered in:
Canada, the Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States there might have been 501 made to meet the standards. It would be interesting if anyone with a Polestar can verify the CoC date from their V5C and compare that with a standard V60.
My S60 has a Spanish e9 type approval code from week 46 in 2007.
Not sure where that Australia info came from, the Volvo press release states.... https://www.media.volvocars.com/glob...-v60-polestar3

The Volvo factory in Torslanda celebrated 50 years recently with a total of over 6.8 million cars having been produced, starting with the Amazon model in 1964 and all the way to the new S60 and V60 Polestar today. The Polestar model also marks the first ever independent partner being introduced to the production process.

”We are delighted to see the first cars leave the factory and it has been an exciting journey together with Polestar to see these cars from the drawing board until the actual finalized product being produced with us on the factory line,” said Magnus Hellsten, Vice President Car Manufacturing Europe at Volvo Cars.

A total of 750 cars will be produced of the S60 and V60 Polestar model this year, heading to customers in Canada, the Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the USA.
That's for 2014, this is the release for 2015 https://www.media.volvocars.com/glob...o-13-countries

After substantially exceeding customer demand expectations in 2014, the Volvo S60 and V60 Polestar get a renewed production of 750 cars in 2015 and expand to 13 countries around the world.

”We are delighted to see the positive response from customers all over the world on our very first production car. This marks another important milestone for Polestar,” said Christian Dahl, CEO of Polestar.

After rolling out the cars to customers in eight countries last year, the S60 and V60 Polestar will be expanded to the Middle East for 2015, a region showing strong interest for Polestar. The new countries to get the MY16 Volvo S60 and V60 Polestar include Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
That's 1,500 since the start of production.
