Just buy a set of trim removers and get it off to check why it hangs off. I had a similar issue, but the clips were not broken - the plastic connecting them with the trim part was. You could also go ahead and buy a big set of volvo clips from ebay. Apart from a few special clips, most are readily available in these sets.
