The worrying bit would be the upholstery as that can allow the virus to survive longer. That said, unless i've misunderstood something, it needs a host to survive and thrive so even in the upholstery, it probably won't survive the journey from Italy to the UK or wherever.

That said, i'm not medically qualified, have picked up bits and pieces of information over the years but by no means whatsoever should anything medical i say be taken as gospel without checking it out.

However i've confounded at least two specialists with my medical understanding of certain conditions from an engineering perspective and in one case, advanced the specialists own understanding of an aspect he previously hadn't considered.

Perhaps instead of doctors, we should have "Medical Engineers"......................
