I don't know what happen with these cars if the siren gives up, but on the previous generation, there was a message that showed up when it happened. The alarm didn't go off just because of a bad battery in the siren.
The bonnet sensor is one possible offender. Not too unusual that they develop a glitch.
Then it could of course be any of the door sensors, or in the rear lock.
Reading the error codes with VIDA is supposed to show you the sensor that triggered the alarm. That would make troubleshooting easier, compared to checking everything just to be sure.
