You can also use the wheels from earlier cars but you will need adapter rings on the hubs.

I never really understood why these rings are required to take up quite small tolerances. The wheel is held on by 5 taper bolts, those tapers precisely locate the wheel to the hub. The centre bore surely does nothing to ensure correct fitting ?
