Moral:- do not overtighten wheel nuts. They should be done up to the correct torque figure with a torque wrench. On most 900/850 series and I suspect the more recent models the correct torque is stamped on the front wheel bearing caps and you would all be wise to stick religiously to that figure. My caps state 85Nm (940) but this figure will differ for other models. There was a listing given in one of the back copies of "Technical Driver".
