It is more noticeable when the Aircon is on auto and recirculate, or Aircon off, and just in Fan mode. There is no smell, if the vents are closed and the fan and aircon off.
I will occasionally notice it when I come back to the car and I've left the vents open and the engine has been off but cooling down...

Weird that it's worse on recirculate.
Very interested in what this could be, although my car has a different engine.
