Hi,

Thanks for the link. I've got a V60 Hybrid on order so I'm also looking at cables and charging options.

When I ordered it, to change from the standard cable for length or type was only a +/- 50 euro option but to have a second additional cable was 400 euro, so I didn't go for the 2nd one.

Did you go for the 16A or 32A version of the type 2 cable? Is it reliable without the in-line controller/protection device?

The Volvo site mentions 20A max rating for their type 2 version but it's not clear if there's a controller on it. The manual mentions that if it's a public charger, they have protection integrated on the station, so no in-line controller needed.

The car is supposed to be limited to 16A and I assume won't take a heavier current than it can handle, but I've no experience and the dealer will no doubt point me in the direction of their branded cable.

Thanks for any guidance!
