You reminded me of years ago when my dad had a 240GL with the rear facing boot seats and he went to the airport to collect a family of 6 with two children, what they had not told him was the two children were grown up....
I spent many happy hours in the boot, it was pretty comfy and you could err 'wave' at the drivers behind
Definitely not legal these days as not proper child seats
