Haha, not looked in on the thread for a bit as I forgot about it! But now i’m confused!

I’ve bought a leisure battery, 70Ah for £20 second hand, but seems good, and have the trailer wired how I want it apart from the charging circuit, which I may/may not bother with.

I’ve got the battery wired to a socket, so the electrics can be easily disconnected and a charger plugged in so I can charge the battery without unpacking the stuff in the trailer box.

As there is nothing connected to the battery, I wondered if I could make a direct connection from the relevant pins on the tow socket? If so, anyone know how much current is supplied (using 16A rated cable) but could uprate reasonably easily if it needs to be heavier.
