Thanks Clan, I suspect it's the crankcase breather/heater nipple where residue is getting trapped berween the engine cover.
I plan to remove this and seal with blue gasket to see if it cures the problem. I'll report back results in a week or so.
Litres, fluid ounzes or quart....I don't mind
